Rangacharlu memorial hall
The town hall was constructed in 1884 in memory of late Chettipantam Veeravalli Rangacharlu, who served as the first dewan of mysore state.
The city improvement trust board and the city municipal offices were earlier housed in the rangacharlu hall. The architecture of the building has two distinct features, the pediment with an intricately carved figurine of goddess laxmi with elephants on both sides and the four pairs of Corinthian columns.
The Rangacharlu memorial hall is now the town hall of mysore and is used for various cultural activities.
